Ananonymous woman shared her story withus.
Our reader, a35-year-old woman, who preferred tostay anonymous, decided toshare her very controversial story withus. She wanted toknow what our audience thinks about her complicated issue, and she was obviously prepared for being judged, too.
She opened her latter, saying, «SoI’m 35, and 9months agoI had avery messy and painful breakup with myfiancé, soI moved inwith one ofmyfriends and her husband inahouse weare all now renting together. Itwas then thatI met myneighbor, whoI will call Kevin. Hehelpedus all move our stuff into the new house, andI fell inlove with him atfirst sight. Welive inthe suburbs ofabig city, soweboth ended uptaking the same bus towork atthe same time each day.»
The woman explained, «Iknew Kevin had awife and kids. Iwas aware ofitfrom the very beginning, but itnever stoppedme. Kevin talked about them very often and even showed methe photos ofthem onhis lockscreen andI saw some family pics ofKevin and his wife intheir joint account onFacebook. Ididn’t mind itatall, the whole relationship initially started out asavery innocent, silly crush.»
The woman didn’t keep her feelings toherself.
The woman goes onwith her story, explaining, «Kevin isahandsome and afunny and sweet guy. The first time wewere together inthe bus, heasked meabout myjob and life, andI saw hewas genuinely interested inwhatI was saying. This issomething myexnever did and issomething weargued about alot.
Kevin isalways doing things for his kids, hebrings them treats and other stuff, and hewas staying onthe phone with his small daughter the entire way towork because she needed asoothing talk before aschool presentation. Forme, itwas easy toimagine how lovely and attentive Kevin would bewith mebecause hewas like that with everyone else.»
The woman added, «Ijust knew that Kevin andI could easily become something more. Ialso found out shortly afterI developed feelings for Kevin that his wife isapersonI went tothe same school with, andI was surprised because they are total opposites. Heisfunny, she isvery dry, heisexciting, she isdull, heisnot anintellectual person, but she isvery smart. Ijust was sure that their personalities didn’t fit very well together atall, andI could easily see Kevin getting stuck inarelationship because hewas just sonice.»
Once, Kevin asked the woman for afavor and she agreed tohelp him.
The woman goes onwith her story, and she isgetting very emotional about how the things developed. She wrote, «One evening, Kevin knocked onmydoor and asked ifI could watch his kids for afew hours. Iagreed right away. Hetold methat his wife was inthe hospital inanother city, Kevin was super worried and decided todrive there tosee her. They don’t have any relatives, soheasked metokeep aneye ontheir kids for afew hours while afamily friend would drive several hours towatch the kids atnight.»
And that was the moment when the issue camein. The woman revealed, «Kevin’s kids were anabsolute nightmare. They have three girls, and the oldest was atypical bratty preteen with acomplicated character. She was rude, she disrespected myauthority, she was arguing with meabout everything. Ieven heard her call menames under her breath acouple times.
The middle girl was very loud and wanted toplay loud, messy games even whenI told her notto. The youngest girl, however, was sweet and quiet onher own, but she quickly joined inwith the drama that her sisters wanted tocreate.»
The woman added, «Ifinally agreed toplay hide and seek with the younger girls andI ended upgetting locked out ofthe house. When Iwent back and tried toconvince the oldest girl tolet meinthrough the back door, she pretended she didn’t hear meand just put her headphoneson. Thankfully, Kevin’s family friend arrived afew minutes later and let mein, and thenI went home.»
The woman now has very mixed feelings about everything.
The woman concluded, «The incident with babysitting makes mereally sad, because before that timeI would often dream about being astepmom toKevin’s kids one day. Now Iwant nothing todowith these horrible kids, but atthe same time, this isanother proof tomethat Kevin and his wife are not happy because children from ahappy family donot behave like this.»
The woman added, «Ijust want tohave arelationship with Kevin now, but Ido not know ifitispossible because his kids andI would not get along atall. Their mother also could easily get them tohateme. Ireally love Kevin andI know that wecould have abeautiful relationship. But the incident with his kids has really shakenme. Ijust wishI had someone totalk toabout this, but everyone inmylife would simply judgeme.»
