Chili Lime Shrimp Recipe Tips, Tricks, and FAQs
- My favorite way to heat the corn tortillas is over the open flame of my stove, flipping constantly. This isn’t necessary, but I love the flavor. You can also heat them in a dry pan over medium-high heat.
- Be sure not to leave your shrimp in the marinade for too long. The lime juice will actually begin to cook your shrimp.

Shrimp tacos taste great with a variety of toppings including:
- Pineapple Pico de Gallo

Can you make Chili Lime Tacos with Shrimp ahead of time?
I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m not a fan of reheated shrimp because it over cooks so easily. It only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish, so I’d recommend making them right before you plan to eat them.
Storing and Reheating Shrimp Tacos
Leftover shrimp tacos should be cooled completely. Once cooled, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a skillet over medium heat just until heated through.
